Chickens are both fun and useful to keep. For those of us don't live in country we can't keep a breeding flock with along with noisy rooster! But hens will earn their keep and provide entertainment, enjoyment by laying eggs for you. We love our healthy, home grown eggs, quality nitrogen-rich fertilizer and pest control. Some people will also raise them for their meat.  Chickens adapt to most environments. Did you know in the wild they roost in trees?
